Introduction
With ever-shortening design cycles and the prevalence of design-build projects, the revision cloud has become more common in CAD drawings today.  Unfortunately, some versions of AutoCAD don't provide an easy method to create them.  With our Cloud program creating a cloud or tree-line couldn't be easier.  Pick a point and drag the crosshairs.  You can't get much simpler than that.  If you need to pan or zoom while creating the cloud, you can do that too.  And the increment value is based upon a paper space units, so it automatically adjusts depending upon the current space.

Arc Length Calculation
Our Cloud program handles specification of the arc's chord length differently than all other revision cloud programs.  The chord length is entered as a plotted distance.  For instance, if you want the chord length of the arcs to be 3/8" when plotted, you simply specify that value for the increment value.  Cloud will automatically adjust this value depending upon the current space so that when the drawing is plotted, the arcs will be the correct size.  See the chart below for more information.

Pan/Zoom
Cloud also allows you to pan or zoom during the creation of the cloud.  The Pan or Zoom modes are similar to AutoCAD's Zoom and Pan commands.  The only difference is that the last point contained within the cloud must remain within view.  If it is not, Cloud will automatically adjust the view.  During most zoom operations, cloud creation is suspended to prevent unwanted arcs from being created.  While zooming, a symbol will appear at the last cloud point created.  To resume cloud creation, simply move the crosshairs near this symbol, when the symbol disappears, resume dragging the crosshairs.
